Issaquah Little League Skills Clinics

Issaquah Little League is teaming up with Dani Weir to provide our community with an exclusive softball clinics for your player. Get ready for a fun day of instruction, a little hard work and a lot of fun! The clinics are provided by Issaquah Little League for Issaquah Little League Players.

About the Instructor
Dani Weir has many years of experience as a successful softball coach at all levels of the game. Dani graduated from Woodinville HS in 2006 with an undefeated season and state championship in 2005. Following high School, Dani played college softball Boston College and played one season of professional softball in Switzerland for the Therwil Flyers. Dani returned to the area to coach at Woodinville High School where she was awarded the 2016 Washington State Coach of the Year. In 2017, led the Falcons to the 4A State Title and earned the National Fastpitch High School Coach of the Year. She currently runs clinics, camps, and private lessons out of Field of Champions.

SKILLS CLINIC #1 - Skills Refresher

Date: Sunday, January 22, 2023
Time: 9:00-11:00am 
Location: Issaquah Middle School Main Gym
Cost: Free to all registered 2023 ILL Softball players

WHAT TO EXPECT: This clinic is designed to help participants freshen up their skills before the skills evaluation. In order to optimize player to instructor ratio, we will cap at 50 participants. Therefore, we are prioritizing registration for players needing to attend skills evaluations: those currently registered for AAA (or AA with petition to play up), Coast, and Majors.  If we have additional space we will allow those registered for Tball/A and AA to attend as well. 

WHAT TO BRING:
 glove, bat, helmet, batting gloves (if used), face masks for fielding (optional), sneakers/tennis shoes (No Cleats), water bottle, and snack if desired.

Skills Clinic #2 - Little League Fundamentals

Date: Sunday, Feb 5, 2023 and March 5, 2023 (same clinic please only register for one)
Time: 9:00-11:00am 
Location: Issaquah Middle School Main Gym 
Cost
: Free to all registered 2023 ILL Softball players
Register: Now until Feb 4 at 2pm and March 4 and 2pm


WHAT TO EXPECT: These clinics are designed to help players learn and enhance fundamental softball skills including throwing, fielding, and hitting.  We will cap each session at 50 participants to keep the instructor to player ratio optimized.  These will be open to anyone registered to play in any division of ILL softball for the coming season.  Please register for only one of the two clinics so we can allow the maximum number of participants to attend. Note that both clinics will cover the same content/skills.
