2018 Softball Season Photos

Dear Softball Families,

Registration for Issaquah Fast Pitch Softball 2019 is now open!

My name is Jamie Svoboda, I am Issaquah Little League's Softball Commissioner. This will be my second year on the Issaquah Little League board, last year I was Softball's Player Agent and this year will mark my 9th season coaching softball for the league. Our program wouldn't exist if we didn't have such wonderful volunteers who put in countless hours and who have a passion for the sport. I'm honored to welcome our fellow softball board members:

ILL President - Brian Mayer
VP Competitive, Softball - Jon Davies
VP Instructional, Softball - Kiki Haar
Player Agent, Softball - Victor King
Equipment - Jay Clark
Field Development & Scheduler - Terry Dodd
Field Operations - Greg Lipnickey
Safety Officer - Heather Bissmeyer
Secretary - Doug Miller
Treasurer - Cliff Bogh
Information Officer - Chip Craw

Each year we continue to improve our program. We have more girls playing softball than we have in Issaquah Little League history. Last season we had 3 A teams, 3 AA teams, 4 AAA teams, 3 Coast teams, 1 Majors team, 2 players played on a interlock Jr's team, 3 All Star teams, 1 Summer Instructional team and 1 Coast Fall Ball team.

Our uniforms and team names reflect the Pac 12 College Softball teams. The teams are: Huskies, Cougars, Ducks, Wildcats

We have our own softball skills development clinics called,"Softball Skills & Diamond Drills". The indoor winter skills training schedule will be January 6th, 26th, and February 17th at Bellevue College. We will focus on the most current softball methods of throwing, catching, hitting, and running bases. For those interested in learning or improving pitching skills we will offer that as well at designated times. Our skill clinics will be lead by the head coach and players from Bellevue College Softball team. The head coach and assistant coaches at Bellevue College are Husky Fast Pitch alumni! We will also have a outdoor skills clinic hosted by the head coach of Issaquah High School in April.

All Softball Skills & Diamond Drills will be FREE for registered players!

We will have a Skills Evaluations for girls going into AAA, Coast & Majors to determine the skill levels that are compatible for playing safe and to balance teams. The evaluation will be on February 2nd at Bellevue College.

To all Coaches, Bellevue College will be hosting their annual Coach's Clinic on January 6th. Coaches will learn important techniques to bring to practice and game time.

We strive our best for our players to have fun, learn, be competitive and to love the game of Softball. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to email me at softball@issaquahlittleleague.org.

Here's to a fun 2019 Season!
